FCAT Explorer and FCAT FOCUS
Let’s Get Ready for the FCATs
Two free, online practice websites that can help you prepare for the FCATs are the FCAT Explorer, and FCAT Focus. One of the differences between the programs is the FCAT Explorer is based on 5th grade skills, while FCAT Focus covers 6th grade skills.
The FCAT Explorer is a great place to start. Reinforce the skills you learned last year by answering questions, earning tokens and playing games. It provides detailed answer explanations and help. You can try questions more than once. You can even produce an Explorer’s Report to help you track how you are doing.
The FCAT Focus website offers examples of 6th grade test questions. Try out 5 new problems each week. You are not expected to get them all correct. Just try your best.
FCAT EXPLORER:
Go to: http://www.fcatexplorer.com. Sign in with your full last name and the first letter of your first name. The password is 06 plus the first four letters of your last name plus your birth month and day (MMDD). Click on Math Station, read the directions and get started.
FCAT FOCUS:
